  7. This is my attempt at resource tracking, version 0.5.
  8. The package consists of three programs:
  9. - "rt" patches the OS to keep track of various resources. What
  10.   distinguishes rt from other programs of the sort is the fact
  11.   that a change in the config file is all that is needed to track
  12.   a new type of resource.
  13. - "rtFreeResources" selectively gives orphan resources back to the
  14.   system.
  15. - "rtList" displays various summaries of rt's tracking lists
  16.  
  17. V0.5 is the first non-beta version, looks pretty stable in everyday use.
  18. Nevertheless I refuse all responsibility for anything that happens to your
  19. computer/brain/mother-in-law/whatever as a result from using this software.
  20. It works fine on my system - if it doesn't on yours, just send me a
  21. bugreport and I'll consider fixing it!

  23. New in this version:
  24. - started using the MultiUser system if present. Up to
  25.   now this only affects reading of config-files which well be searched in
  26.   $HOME first. In the future multiuser will also be supported for by-user or
  27.   by-group quotas for certain resources.
  28. - bugfix for the configfile reading routine
  29. - a couple of improvements/fixes for the utilities
